WHAT I DO

I create a significant impact through motivational wellness education, focusing on ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) seminars.

From the vibrant streets of Oakland to the bustling heart of Vallejo, Jameelah Hanif embodies a spirit of transformative change. Rooted in her upbringing in Oakland and now flourishing as a pillar of Vallejo, Jameelah's journey is a testament to resilience, dedication, and unwavering advocacy for children and families.

As a single mother, entrepreneur, and community leader, Jameelah's story is one of inspiration and empowerment. Driven by her fervent desire to create a more just society, Jameelah Hanif harbors a profound dream: the establishment of the Watch Me Grow Community Development Center, a beacon of hope poised to illuminate the futures of Vallejo's youth and families. Through this center, Jameelah envisions a future where every child has access to quality education, supportive resources, and a nurturing environment to thrive.

Driven by a commitment to address racial disparities, Jameelah spearheads initiatives that promote equity and justice. From organizing resource fairs to advocating for universal access to early childhood programs, she tirelessly works to uplift underserved communities and dismantle systemic inequalities and  foster a trauma-informed community that addresses ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) head-on.

Jameelah's advocacy extends beyond the confines of her community. Through trauma-informed trainings and parent education programs, she empowers individuals to heal, grow, and create positive change in their lives and communities. Her dedication to fostering resilience and promoting emotional well-being is a guiding light for all who know her.

As the CEO of Watch Me Grow Child Care, Watch Me Grow Consulting, and the non-profit Watch Me Grow, Inc., Jameelah wears many hats, each representing her unwavering commitment to making a difference. From providing quality childcare to leading policy change, she is a force to be reckoned with in the realm of child and family advocacy.

Her impact resonates not only within Vallejo but throughout the broader Bay Area community. Recognized as an "Impact Warrior" by the Golden State Warriors and honored with the "Icons Amongst Us" award from the Bay Area Black Joy Parade, Jameelah's tireless advocacy has earned her acclaim and admiration. Throughout Solano County, Jameelah has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, earning accolades such as the "Extra Mile" award from the City of Vallejo and being named a "Champion for Children" by the Solano County Children's Network. Her dedication to service and advocacy has earned her the esteemed title of 2023 Woman of the Year by both the Solano Commission for Women & Girls and Congressman John Garamendi.

Jameelah Hanif is a testament to the power of resilience and the enduring spirit of hope. As she continues to champion trauma-informed communities and advocate for those most in need, her impact reverberates far and wide, leaving an indelible mark on the world around her.
